#394 February 1, 2012 MPO Locally Coordinated Transit Plan
Come hear about and provide input into the update of the Locally Coordinated Transit Plan (aka the “Human Services Transportation plan”), which addresses services for “transportation disadvantaged” populations, including persons with disabilities, older adults, and persons with low income. This plan update is federally-required and will help the region identify existing gaps in the current transportation system and prioritize projects to improve accessibility and increase mobility options. This plan also allows local transit providers to apply for federal grants, such as the grant that funds the Black Mountain Trailblazer route.
Public input is requested to help identify transportation needs and barriers, especially for transportation disadvantaged populations.
