Asheville Green Works

Asheville GreenWorks, an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, is a volunteer-based organization working to achieve a clean and green Asheville and Buncombe County through community organizing, educating and environmental stewardship.

With more than 900 members and 1,500+ volunteers we engage the community in grassroots projects that make Asheville and Buncombe County a better place to live and visit. Please click on our programs below to learn more about them and how you can get involved.

Asheville GreenWorks seeks to enhance the environment and quality of life for citizens in Asheville and Buncombe County through projects.

With more than 900 members and hundreds of volunteers, we engage the community in grassroots projects like tree planting, cleanups, anti-litter and recycling education, creation and maintenance of green spaces,  playground enhancement, neighborhood beautification and care and preservation of Asheville’s trees.

Through our work, Asheville has been designated as a Tree City USA for the past 31 years.
